Elephant Recruitment Interview Screening Process

We know how important it is for parents that their children are safe and being looked after by caring and safe guarded people. Elephant Recruitment adopts the highest standards in recruitment. All candidates are interviewed in person and must pass all our thorough interview screening processes. We also ensure all safety checks are completed and up to date.

All our candidates must complete a candidate registration form which details their qualifications and work history. We can then ascertain immediately if they have the right requirements to register with us.

Candidates then have a face to face interview with us, where we will gain more details about their experience and build up a profile to enable suitable matching.

We check and copy all original documents including:

• Proof of Identity
• Right to work (ensuring we follow home office guidelines)
• Proof of address
• Training and qualifications
• Criminal Record Bureau checks (CRBs)
• A minimum of two references are obtained which cover at least the last three years of work history and have to be verified by the previous employers

Relevant experience for the position they are applying for:

• Nannies: 2 Years childcare experience
• Family's helps: 1 year childcare experience
• Maternity Nurses: Job related relative experience & qualifications working with new born babies
• Nursery Nurses/Managers: Dependant on position
• Teachers: Dependant on position

Relevant training and qualifications for the position they are applying for

• Childcarers working in a home must complete Paediatric First Aid and our Ofsted Registered nannies must complete ICP training.
